I drew this geometric form working on a logo design... at the end it didn't work, but I thougth it was a gorgeus shape to make some patterns.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Well, I did this in Illustrator because I thinks is defenitly easier and better to create exact patterns and nets there, much more than in PS. I belive there are two way: you may release them as Illust. patterns and then expand it, so you can give it the angle you want, or you may also use snap to point feature and build it step by step (with the repeat action shortcut).
I actually used both Illust. and Photoshop. Hope my explanation'll help.
And Yeah it is defenitly easier to work on this sort of stuff in illustrator much more control.
